If you’re like me and just love the idea of natural stone in a bathroom, your first thought is probably to use marble tiles or counters. That's great- stone will totally bring your renovation up a notch. Last week though I checked out Unik Stone and I just had to share with you these new ways of incorporating natural stone into your project. They’ll give your bathroom an instant edge!
Can you believe it was carved out from one single piece of stone? It’s like almost 6’ feet long! This bath truly stands out amongst all the white freestanding tubs we’re used to seeing in magazines yet still manages to suit a modern space as much as a more rustic setting. The stone acts similarly to cast iron so basically it’s cold to the touch at first but warms up quickly once you fill the tub with hot water and actually helps maintain the temperature. Oh and by the way, the finish is HONED. So it’s totally soft, I am serious you might find yourself petting it..
Stone Shower Base (new grey marble!)
I often have clients tell me they feel stuck in a way because they like how easy an acrylic or polymer shower base install is but find it looks sort of cheap. Choosing a shower base made of a single slab gives you peace of mind instead of worrying about water leaks and keeping those grout lines clean. And it definitely doesn’t look cheap! To complete the look, in the original grey limestone, you can get the stone shower niche or even the 12x24 tiles of the same color which is so practical if you want your whole floor to be one color throughout.
Stone Powder Room Sink
If you have already shopped for a compact sink you definitely know that the options quickly start to look similar. Lots of white! If you want a warmer feel or just something that will make your guests talk, this little one is super affordable and can be easily wall hung. Another idea would be to install it on a narrow counter. If you have more room, there are also integrated sinks with counter space (as always made from one solid block of stone!).
